Plan the airport transfer before landing
Know the hotel’s exact name and main entrance, especially when several properties have similar branding or multiple towers. Follow airport signs to the current taxi, rideshare or shuttle pickup area rather than accepting unsolicited transportation offers.
For larger groups, substantial luggage or a firm arrival schedule, compare a prearranged vehicle with separate rideshare cars. Confirm the provider, meeting instructions, waiting policy and total quoted charge before travel.

Understand resort pickup zones
Many resorts direct rideshare vehicles to a designated garage level or side entrance rather than the lobby. Save the pickup instructions before requesting the ride, then wait until the group is ready so the driver is not circling while everyone searches for the zone.
For taxis and scheduled cars, ask the door or transportation staff where to queue. During large events, temporary traffic plans may change normal pickup locations.

Walk with realistic expectations
The Strip is walkable in sections, but distances are deceptive. Pedestrian bridges, indoor corridors, escalators and crowds add time. Comfortable footwear matters, and guests with mobility concerns should investigate accessible routes in advance.
During extreme heat, use indoor connections where practical and avoid long exposed walks. Carry water and do not assume the return trip will feel as easy after dinner or a show.

Build margin around important events
Traffic changes quickly near arenas, stadiums, conventions and major performances. Leave earlier than a mapping estimate suggests, especially when the destination has security screening or a strict late-entry policy.
After a large event, rideshare demand and pickup congestion may be high. Consider waiting nearby for a short period, walking to a less crowded designated pickup area or using the venue’s official transportation guidance.
